Waiting for Joe to send me profiles of Intended Parents felt like waiting for Christmas morning when I was a child. I've learned over the past few months that this is a true "marathon" and not a sprint. It seemed like every hurdle possible came up but we have overcome it and proudly got matched. The Transition of Pre-Screening to Matching
This happens after completing the application and screening process. During the screening process Joe will ask you to send a few pictures of yourself that you would like your profile to be associated with, or pictures that describe you as a person. This was the most highly anticipated part for me; meeting with a potential match was nerve-wracking. It’s almost like a job application: pick me, pick me! Setting up my surrogate profile was rather simple. My only wish was that I did not want to transfer multiple embryos at one time.
