Finding an Agency

I had been thinking about surrogacy and becoming a surrogate for about 2 years. This June 2023, I finally started my journey. Truthfully, it was a little overwhelming because once I started researching agencies, there were ads and posts coming up on my social media all the time. There were so many agencies to choose from and the most important thing on my mind was to choose a reputable agency. This is a big life changing commitment and there is the potential for major medical complications, so I wanted to make sure I was in good hands. So far this

The First Trimester

After the shots, bloodwork, and doctors, I got the big positive result we all hoped for. My first ultrasound was scheduled to confirm a heartbeat. I went in when I was 7 weeks and 3 days. The intended dads were able to be there in person and witness their daughter’s heartbeat. It was strong. My first trimester was a world different than when I was pregnant with my keeper. The morning sickness hit me hard. Thankfully that was the worst of it. I graduated from the IVF Clinic to my OBGYN. As I went to those appointments, they did the

The Embryo Transfer!!

After all the clearances leading up to this point, it felt like a dream. This is the part that we all waited for. I got the legal clearance, and the next step was starting the medicine. I tracked my period and talked to the clinic. Next thing I knew I was getting this box in the mail. It had everything I was going to need for this next step. It seemed overwhelming at first but the nurse I was working with had everything broken down with such detail. The injections scared me some, but after the first one was done

Psych + Blood Type = Cleared !

Medial clearance and psychological evaluation was my next task of completion. I had never been to Connecticut before and was excited to experience some cooler weather than Florida. What an amazing team at CARS in Farmington. After 3 hours of talking about my previous pregnancies, my support system, and even childhood inspirations - I low key wanted the psychologist to be my therapist 😂 her welcoming and gentle personality made the session honestly fly by. Some blood work, a sneak peek of my uterus, and a multiple choice questionnaire completed my first day. The second day, the parents and I met for

A Peaceful Egg Hatch, Starts with a Perfect Match.

Application is signed and profile is sealed. Potential candidates are sent. Having an open, honest, and transparent personality makes it harder to see past the summarized paragraph for couples. Will they be overbearing? Will they shut down communication? Will they not like my sometimes over detailed personality? I was open to the first two candidates based on medical background and interracial similarities. Unfortunately ( well overall fortunately), fertility clinics did not think I was the best candidate for them. I was sent a profile of a loving veteran couple. Immediately the stereotypes rolled in my brain being raised a military

Surrogacy: The Application & Pre-Screening Process

This is my first surrogacy journey and so far, it has not been hard at all. The pre-screening/application process is very easy. Filling out the application to see if you qualify to become a surrogate was very helpful and quick. The next step is the prescreening process. It is a little frustrating because you have to wait for your doctor to do their part, but all you want to do is meet your family that you are going to be on the beautiful journey with. I love working with Joe and his team. They are so great and easy going.

The Pre-Screening & Application Process

I am a first time mom with a now 13 month old. I have donated my eggs in the past and then I came across surrogacy posts for months until I finally decided to see what it was fully about. I searched a lot of information and different websites and finally came across a surrogacy advocate website and connected with them who then connected me to the New York Surogacy Center and that's when I knew I felt like it was something I was extremely interested in and felt like the right thing to do in my life.  The application

Becoming a Surrogate

I’m Trenity and this is my prescreening and application process to becoming a surrogate. When I was younger I was the girl everyone knows who isn’t getting married or having kids but then you know people say that changes when you meet your person. After having my first son and getting married ( we weren’t married until my first baby was 10 months) I wasn’t sure which direction I would take as far as expanding my family. I watched my sister struggle with infertility and I always told her I will have you a baby and I meant it. Later

Starting my Surrogacy Journey

Getting started on this journey is really no different than the start of anything we do. It honestly reminded me of buying a house. Find a realtor or in this situation finding a agency. Search for the team that you feel most comfortable with and want to work with. Search for the people that not just care for you but care about you and that has how it has been working with NYSC. From the first email after completing the initial application Joe has been prompt about always answering any question or concern I have and this being my first surrogacy journey

My Surrogate Application and Pre-Screening Process

My prescreening and application process was so easy and smooth. Joe and the rest of the team were so kind and easy to reach during every step. Starting from the initial phone call, the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in guiding me through the application process. They were quick to help me get all of my previous medical records sent to them, and helped me know exactly what appointments I needed to have. I could not have asked for things to go any smoother!
